Leadership
At the helm of Western CAM is Chief Executive Officer Dr. Isobel Sheldon OBE (h.c), an industry veteran with over two decades of experience developing battery technologies. Isobel’s leadership and extensive expertise have been instrumental in advancing our innovative approach to battery material development. She has held senior positions at prominent companies such as Britishvolt, where she was responsible for overall business, manufacturing, technology, and customer strategy, and the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) as Business Development Director.
Isobel’s pioneering career includes significant contributions to developing and commercializing lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, working with major automotive manufacturers like Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, Nissan, Ricardo, and Johnson Matthey Battery Systems . Her work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to motor vehicle battery technology .
Under Isobel’s guidance, our team of professionals, with over 300 years of combined experience, is dedicated to driving technological excellence and environmental stewardship. Together, we are committed to delivering superior CAM solutions that support the global transition to clean energy.
